Great explanation of why intermittent fasting can help!
"Thrive After Fifty" really is a great explanation of what it's like to be over the age of 50 and how to use intermittent fasting to help with the fatigue, brain fog, and other hormonal issues you might be facing at this age.
It does a good job of explaining what intermittent fasting is and the reasons it helps but also takes an honest look at obstacles you might face and ways around them.
It includes healthy recipes in the back, giving you a starting point for what to eat for 30 days or at least ideas of healthy ways to break your fast. Well done.
Practical Guide for Intermittent Fasting
I was interested in this book to help me use intermittent fasting to reduce inflammation and lose weight. It’s practical, straightforward, and easy to apply.
No hype—just solid info that makes sense. I like the options for how to apply IF to your personal goals and your lifestyle, and tips for how to make it really stick.
The quiz to select the best method for my actual lifestyle is helpful, as I've struggled with consistency with IF in the past.
Great Book
I am 67 years old and overweight and bought this book because I have a friend who swears by intermittent fasting.
I have be using this book now for a couple of weeks and can already see a difference not only in a bit of weight loss already, but my energy and focus.
I love how the book explained to me the science behind it, how and why it works for mature women and the graphs that show how it is working.
Anyone curious, I definitely recommend getting this book.

A Thorough Read for a Healthier Lifestyle
“The Practical Anti-Inflammatory Guide for Beginners” by Caroline Green Chow is a thorough, clear read about changing to an anti-inflammatory diet.
The author covers the hows and whys of this healthy eating plan and gives alternative substitutes for those who have allergies or health issues that won’t allow them to eat specific foods.
I love the recipes at the end and the specific health benefits of each ingredient in the recipes. Lots of information here!
